The Katikkiro of Buganda, Charles Peter Mayiga, has renewed calls for forgiveness and reconciliation among political leaders, saying it is the only way to reduce divisions created during elections and promote long-term national unity.
His message was delivered at Bulange, Mengo by Kingdom spokesperson Israel Kazibwe Kitooke during a gathering linked to community contributions.
The appeal echoed earlier guidance from the Kabaka of Buganda, Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II, who in his Eid-Adhuha remarks urged leaders to embrace forgiveness, reject corruption, and focus on ethical leadership.
