Miracle Centre Cathedral lead pastor Robert Kayanja has defended the miracles associated with his ministry after motivational speaker Frank Gashumba challenged pastors claiming miraculous powers to prove their abilities for Shs200 million.
Kayanja insisted that the miracles associated with his ministry were genuine and came from God, dismissing the debate surrounding claims of fake miracles.
“Our miracles are not fake. They are God-made. It’s biblical that you have to be born again to have them,” Kayanja said.

Gashumba reportedly offered Shs200 million to any pastor, prophet or apostle willing to demonstrate miraculous healing by healing a patient in an intensive care unit at a major hospital.
The challenge has sparked debate among Ugandans, with some demanding accountability from religious leaders who claim to heal the sick, while others argue that miracles cannot be performed on demand.
Kayanja’s response has added to the growing discussion, although it remains unclear whether he or any other religious leader will accept Gashumba’s challenge.
