Chief of Defence Forces Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba has intensified his public disagreement with businessman Odrek Rwabwogo, saying arresting him would not be a difficult task.“Arresting Odrek is the simplest thing I have ever done. I will do it,” Muhoozi said, in remarks that have sparked widespread discussion.
The statement comes amid the ongoing dispute over the Presidential Advisory Committee on Exports and Industrial Development (PACEID), which Muhoozi has criticised and questioned.Earlier, Gen Muhoozi had indicated that he was withdrawing a previous statement about Rwabwogo after an appeal from his brother-in-law Edwin, saying the Museveni family remained united.

However, his latest comments suggest that tensions surrounding the matter remain unresolved.Rwabwogo, who is married to President Yoweri Museveni’s daughter Patience Rwabwogo, has defended PACEID and rejected claims challenging its legitimacy. The disagreement between the two influential figures has drawn public attention due to their close ties to Uganda’s leadership.
While supporters of Muhoozi have backed his stance, others have raised concerns over threats of arrest during public disagreements. The controversy continues to fuel debate as Ugandans wait to see whether the confrontation will escalate further.
