Pastor Juma Mulokole has withdrawn from the healing challenge involving Frank Gashumba, bringing a new twist to the ongoing disagreement between Gashumba and religious leaders over claims of miraculous healing.
The challenge emerged after Gashumba reportedly offered Shs500 million to anyone who could perform a miracle by healing sick people from Mulago National Referral Hospital.
Mulokole, who had been drawn into the developing controversy, has now distanced himself from the challenge, explaining that he does not want to become part of the ongoing war of words between Gashumba and fellow pastors.
The pastor acknowledged that he might not be particularly good at verbal confrontations and public arguments, suggesting that engaging in exchanges of words is not where his strength lies.

However, Mulokole maintained that he remains confident when it comes to actual healing, distinguishing his position on performing healings from his willingness to participate in public disputes.
His decision to withdraw comes at a time when Gashumba’s challenge has attracted attention and intensified exchanges involving religious leaders.
The dispute has raised questions about claims of miraculous healing and the willingness of religious figures to demonstrate such claims under the conditions proposed by Gashumba.
Mulokole’s withdrawal adds another development to the controversy, although he made it clear that his decision was influenced by his desire to avoid being caught up in the ongoing verbal exchanges rather than an admission that he could not perform healings.
