Ugandan singer Alien Skin has officially called a ceasefire with fellow musicians Dr. Jose Chameleone and NUP president Bobi Wine, ending a period of public tension and rivalry in the country’s music scene.
Alien Skin explained that earlier conflicts arose from a planned song, Enjuki, which was initially intended to target Bobi Wine. However, interventions by Chameleone shifted his focus, and disagreements ensued between the artists. Despite previous tensions, Alien Skin stated that he has now forgiven both Chameleone and Bobi Wine, describing them as “officially my brothers” and signaling a new era of peace.
He highlighted his influence in the music industry, noting his role in shaping trends and supporting fellow artists. Alien Skin emphasized that his ability to generate public attention—what he calls “talkability”—has helped revive struggling careers and maintain his position as a prominent figure in Uganda’s music scene.
By calling an end to the feud, Alien Skin and his counterparts are expected to move past rivalry, potentially fostering collaboration and creativity among Uganda’s top musicians.
