New information has come out in court about the tragic killings at a daycare centre in Ggaba. The case has shocked many people, especially because young children were involved.
The man accused of the crime is Christopher Okello Onyum. He is facing four charges of murder but has denied all of them in court.
During the latest hearing, a police officer gave important evidence about what was found on the suspect’s electronic devices. This officer is trained in digital forensics.
He told the court that the suspect had searched for disturbing topics online before the attack happened. These searches raised serious concern among those present.
One of the searches was about the extremist group ISIS. The officer said the suspect looked up information related to violent acts linked to that group.

People in the courtroom were shocked when they heard this. Some reacted strongly because of how serious the information sounded.
The officer also said the suspect searched for information about getting a gun in Uganda. This included questions about how long it takes to get a licence.
However, the prosecution did not clearly explain why the suspect made these searches. They said investigations are still ongoing.
Even so, prosecutors believe the searches show that the attack may have been planned in advance. They say this could be important evidence in the case.
The court also heard that a digital copy of The Art of War was found on a flash disk. This is an old book about military strategy written by Sun Tzu.
According to the officer, the file was saved in November 2025. This was months before the attack took place.

Investigators think this could suggest the suspect was preparing or studying certain ideas before the incident.
There are also reports that authorities may look deeper into possible links to extremist beliefs. These reports have not yet been confirmed.
If needed, investigators may ask the court for permission to question the suspect further on this issue.
Earlier in the trial, police said they found several kitchen knives at the suspect’s home. These were presented as part of the evidence.
The defence lawyer disagreed with this point. He argued that knives are normal items found in many homes.

He also said his client planned to use them for farming work, not for any harmful purpose.
A worker at the daycare also gave her testimony in court. She described what she saw on the day of the incident.
At first, she thought a child was being disciplined. But she quickly realised something was very wrong and called for help.
The case continues in court and has drawn a lot of public attention. Many people are following closely as more details are revealed.
