Renowned Ugandan musician King Saha has issued a strong warning to security operatives, asking them to stop calling and pressuring him regarding the whereabouts of opposition leader Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu.
The popular artist expressed frustration over repeated inquiries from security personnel, emphasizing that he has no information to share.
According to King Saha, he has been receiving frequent phone calls and messages from officers inquiring about Bobi Wine’s location.
He said the constant questioning is both intrusive and stressful, particularly because the matter does not involve him directly.
The singer made the remarks during a recent interview, explaining that while he respects the work of security agencies, he feels unfairly targeted and dragged into political issues that have no connection to his personal or professional life.
King Saha further stated that he values his privacy and independence as a musician and public figure.

He emphasized that he cannot be held responsible for the movements or decisions of political leaders, including Bobi Wine.
“The calls keep coming every day,” King Saha said. “I have repeatedly told them I do not know anything about Bobi Wine’s location, yet they continue calling. I cannot keep answering questions that I have no answers for.”
He went on to explain that some of the calls have been persistent and even aggressive, creating a tense situation that affects his mental peace. The singer said he is concerned that such pressure could interfere with his work and personal life.
King Saha highlighted that he has previously worked with various figures from different political and social backgrounds but has always maintained a neutral stance, focusing primarily on music and entertainment.
The artist clarified that he has no affiliations or insider information about the National Unity Platform or the movements of Bobi Wine. “I am a musician, not a government informant,” he said firmly.
He also cautioned security officers against making assumptions based on his public appearances or social interactions with people who support Bobi Wine, noting that friendship or professional collaboration should not be mistaken for political knowledge or influence.
King Saha recounted that the calls from security operatives often come at odd hours, disrupting his work schedule and studio sessions. He noted that music production requires concentration, and being questioned about political figures is both irrelevant and stressful.
The musician also warned that continued harassment could have legal implications. While he did not specify any actions he plans to take, he hinted that authorities should respect citizens’ rights to privacy and not involve private individuals unnecessarily in political investigations.
Observers say this warning by King Saha highlights a broader concern in Uganda regarding the pressures placed on public figures to provide information about opposition leaders, especially following politically sensitive events.
The musician’s statement comes in the wake of heightened scrutiny over the movements of Bobi Wine, who has reportedly been abroad since the January 2026 elections. Many security agencies have been reportedly following leads in an attempt to track his location, prompting interactions with members of the entertainment industry.
King Saha also noted that the media often sensationalizes such situations, further fueling the pressure on individuals like him. He urged both journalists and security operatives to avoid creating unnecessary tension by assuming he holds insider knowledge.
He further mentioned that social media speculation often compounds the problem, as officers sometimes base inquiries on rumors rather than verified information. This, he said, contributes to the persistent calls and messaging.

King Saha emphasized that he fully respects Uganda’s law enforcement agencies and their mandate but requested that his name not be dragged into political investigations without cause.
In his warning, the singer made it clear that he will not respond to repeated queries about Bobi Wine’s location, asserting that further pressure may be considered harassment.
He added that the entertainment industry should not be politicized, and artists should be allowed to operate freely without fear of being questioned about political figures. King Saha argued that the focus of musicians should remain on their craft and contribution to culture and society.
Analysts say the musician’s warning reflects the tension that often exists between political developments and the entertainment sector in Uganda, where artists can sometimes become inadvertent targets during sensitive political periods.
King Saha’s public statement is being widely discussed on social media, with many fans expressing support for his stance. They argue that no musician or public figure should be pressured to provide information about someone else’s political activities.
As the situation develops, it remains to be seen whether security operatives will heed King Saha’s warning. For now, the musician has made it clear that he intends to remain neutral and focus solely on his music while avoiding involvement in politically charged matters.
