My name is Michael, and I live in Kampala. I never thought I would reach a point where I would doubt my own wife’s faithfulness, especially since I had always trusted that our marriage was founded on love, honesty and respect for each other.
My wife and I had spent several years together. We shared family responsibilities, planned for our future and worked hard to create a comfortable home. Like any other couple, we occasionally disagreed, but I never imagined that unfaithfulness would become an issue in our marriage.
Things began to feel different when our pastor started coming to our home more often than before. Initially, I saw nothing suspicious about his visits because I respected him as a spiritual leader and believed he genuinely wanted to guide our family in matters of faith. With time, however, I started noticing unusual changes in my wife’s behaviour.
She became more secretive about her phone and sometimes seemed uneasy whenever I asked her about the conversations she had been having with the pastor.Whenever I raised my concerns, she would assure me that I was overthinking the situation. I tried to trust her explanations because I did not want unnecessary suspicions to ruin the trust we had established throughout our marriage.
Despite my efforts to ignore my doubts, certain things continued troubling me. I sometimes felt that there were details being hidden from me, although I could not clearly explain what was happening or why I felt that way.My peace of mind gradually disappeared.
I wanted to establish whether my suspicions had any truth behind them, but at the same time, I feared discovering something that could bring my marriage to an end.I made several attempts to speak openly with my wife, hoping she would help me understand the changes I had observed.
Sadly, I felt that our conversations were not resolving anything, and the uncertainty continued taking an emotional toll on me.One day, as I shared my concerns with someone I trusted, I learned about. To read more, tap here t
