Kole District, Uganda – Mr. Aligi Johnson, director of Akalo Comprehensive Secondary School in Kole District, has donated UGX 10 million to support President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni’s 2026 presidential campaign.
Mr. Aligi handed the cash to senior presidential advisor Hon. Sam Engola, asking him to deliver it to the President as a token of appreciation for his peaceful and visionary leadership.
“I want to thank the President for providing a peaceful environment and allowing us to celebrate the 63rd Independence Day,” said Mr. Aligi. “This UGX 10 million comes from my heart and my family, and I wish him a successful campaign.”
He explained that the donation reflects gratitude for the stability brought to Northern Uganda, recalling the fear and disruption caused by the LRA insurgency during his youth.
Hon. Sam Engola confirmed receiving the money on October 9, 2025, and said he would personally hand it over to President Museveni during his upcoming visit to Lira.
Engola also highlighted that Akalo Comprehensive Secondary School now serves over 1,200 students and has expanded infrastructure, attributing this progress to the NRM government’s stable leadership.
He expressed confidence that President Museveni would win 100% of the votes in Erute South in the 2026–2031 elections.
