New details have emerged about the confrontation that preceded the death of Afrigo Band icon Moses Matovu in Kibuli.
According to Rogers Tukamuhebwa, a Market A Zone defence secretary who responded to the commotion, the suspect allegedly accused Rose Tumusiime of bringing other men into the rented house despite him being the person paying the rent.
The suspect reportedly arrived early Thursday morning and knocked on the door. When Tumusiime allegedly refused to open, he reportedly smashed windows and damaged the door before seeing Matovu inside.
Tumusiime allegedly told him that Matovu was her father, but the confrontation continued. After the two later left the house, the suspect reportedly attacked Tumusiime, prompting Matovu to intervene.
The suspect allegedly punched Matovu, causing him to fall and suffer a serious head injury. The 77-year-old musician was rushed to Kibuli Hospital, where he later died.
Police are continuing to investigate the incident, while the claims about the rent dispute and words exchanged remain part of witness accounts as detectives establish what exactly happened.0773997444
