Chief of Defence Forces Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba has made a strong personal declaration about businessman Odrek Rwabwogo, saying he never accepted him as his brother-in-law.“Odrek was forced upon me by my parents. I NEVER approved of him as my brother-in-law,” Muhoozi stated.The CDF said he only recognises Edwin Karugire, who is married to Natasha Museveni Karugire, as his brother-in-law.“I approved of Edwin Karugire. Edwin is the ONLY brother-in-law I have.
He is the ONLY one I know,” he declared.The remarks come amid an escalating dispute between Muhoozi and Rwabwogo, who is married to Patience Museveni Rwabwogo, daughter of President Yoweri Museveni.The two have also clashed over the Presidential Advisory Committee on Exports and Industrial Development (PACEID), with Muhoozi announcing its dissolution and the transfer of its functions and budget to Operation Wealth Creation.
Rwabwogo has challenged the decision, arguing that PACEID was established by President Museveni and can only be dissolved by him. PACEID has also denied allegations of wrongdoing.Muhoozi further urged parents to consider their children’s views when making important family decisions, saying, “Parents must learn to listen to the voices of their sons.”His latest remarks have added a deeply personal dimension to the already heated dispute, bringing the internal family relationships surrounding the First Family into the public spotlight.
