Kassanda District was filled with joy on Tuesday as Hajj Abdul Bisaso, the National Resistance Movement (NRM) flagbearer for Kassanda South, and his wife welcomed triplets at Mulago National Referral Hospital.
Bisaso, officially nominated on Wednesday, October 22, 2026, temporarily paused his campaign after his wife experienced severe complications and was rushed to Mulago. He remained at her side as she safely delivered three healthy children — three boys and one girl, according to family sources.
News of the births sparked celebrations in Kalamba Cell, Kiganda Town Council, where the couple resides. Supporters and political allies described the event as a divine blessing, coming at a pivotal moment in Bisaso’s political journey as he aims to unseat incumbent MP Frank Kabuye of the National Unity Platform (NUP) in the upcoming 2026 elections.
Kassanda Deputy RDC Mike Ssegawa praised the arrival of the triplets, calling it “a sign of hope and victory.”
> “God has blessed Hajj Bisaso with these little ones at a time when he is dedicated to advancing Kassanda South. This is a symbol of strength and divine favor,” Ssegawa told Watchdog Uganda.
Bisaso, renowned as an entrepreneur and NRM youth mobiliser, clinched the party’s flag following a fiercely contested primary earlier this year. His grassroots-driven campaign continues to gain momentum, even amid internal party challenges. Supporters say the triplets’ arrival has reinvigorated the NRM camp, providing spiritual encouragement as the elections draw near.
Family sources confirmed that both the mother and the newborns are stable and receiving excellent postnatal care. In a statement, Bisaso expressed gratitude to Allah and commended the medical team.
> “This is the greatest gift from Allah during such a challenging period. I am deeply thankful to everyone who has supported my family,” he said.
Celebrations have spread beyond Kiganda Town Council, with NRM leaders, community elders, and well-wishers visiting the family to offer congratulations.
As the political contest intensifies in Kassanda South, the birth of the triplets adds a deeply personal and inspiring dimension to Bisaso’s campaign, boosting morale and energizing supporters as he seeks to reclaim the seat for the ruling party.
