“I am hereby ordering DAS Air Cargo to sell all their interests in Uganda to @UG_Airlines at a fair price. This fair price will be determined by the government valuer. This must be done no later than the 30th of November 2026,” Gen Muhoozi stated. The directive has attracted attention in Uganda’s aviation sector, given DAS Air Cargo’s involvement in air freight and Uganda Airlines’ growing passenger and cargo operations.
If implemented, the transaction could strengthen Uganda Airlines’ cargo capabilities and reshape the country’s air freight and logistics sector. The government valuation will determine the value of the interests before the proposed transaction is finalised.
