Renowned fashion designer, entrepreneur, and civil servant Sylvia Damalie Owori has addressed long-standing rumors linking her romantically to singer-turned-politician Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu, popularly known as Bobi Wine.
Owori categorically denied ever having a romantic relationship with Bobi Wine, clarifying that their connection was purely professional. She emphasized that the speculation circulating online and in media was completely unfounded.
She explained that during her time running the Miss Uganda business, she often worked with Bobi Wine, as well as other top musicians like Jose Chameleone and Bebe Cool. Their interactions were strictly professional, arranging performances and appearances.
“It is not true that I ever had a relationship with Bobi Wine. Bobi Wine is my young brother. I used to book him, as well as Jose Chameleone and Bebe Cool, when I was running the Miss Uganda business. They’re my young brothers,” Owori said.
Her comments aim to end years of speculation that followed her rise as a leading fashion and business personality in Uganda. She stressed that there was never any romantic involvement, only mutual respect and professional collaboration.
Owori also dismissed claims that she once moved to Gulu due to financial struggles or debts, describing such reports as completely false.
