Media personality Christine Nampeera has opened up about her decision not to have children, saying she wants to focus on enjoying life rather than taking on the responsibilities of motherhood.
“I don’t want to give birth. I think it is not safe to increase on the population. I have over a thousand reasons for not giving birth. I just want to enjoy life and this world,” Nampeera said.
She said fear of the responsibilities that come with raising a child is also among the reasons behind her decision.
“I’m afraid of the responsibility,” she added.
Nampeera said having children is a personal choice and that women should not feel pressured by society to become mothers.
Her comments have sparked debate about motherhood, personal freedom and population growth, with members of the public expressing different views on her decision.
Despite the reactions, Nampeera remains firm that she wants to live life on her own terms and prioritise her happiness and personal experiences.
