GOtv Uganda emerged as the biggest winner at the prestigious Silverback Awards, clinching an impressive nine accolades at the 4th edition of the annual event. Held at Golf Course Hotel in Kampala on Saturday, the awards were organized by the Uganda Advertising Association to celebrate exceptional achievements within the country’s communications industry.
This year’s event, themed “Elevating The Grind”, recognized GOtv’s continued leadership and creativity across multiple categories. The brand took home Gold in Digital and Digital Crafts, Social Media and Influencer for its GOtv Your BFF (Best Football Friend) campaign, and Integrated Campaign for the impactful Ka Weekie Campaign. Additionally, GOtv secured Silver in the Film category for Ka Weekie: The First Visit, Bronze for Data and Insight Driven Campaign for Ka Weekie, and Radio and Audio for Ka Weekie. The brand also earned a Craft Certificate for Film and Film Crafts for Ka Weekie: The First Visit.
Capping off the remarkable night, GOtv Uganda was named Brand of the Year, reinforcing its reputation as a customer-centric and affordable brand in Uganda’s competitive entertainment market.

Another major highlight of the evening was the recognition of Colin Asiimwe, Head of Marketing at MultiChoice Uganda, as Marketer of the Year. This accolade further solidified the company’s reputation for crafting innovative, consumer-driven campaigns that shape Uganda’s entertainment landscape. Asiimwe shared: “This recognition celebrates the collective talent across GOtv and the MultiChoice Uganda ecosystem.
