MTN Uganda has launched a newly branded roundabout in Arua City and reopened its modernised MTN Service Centre, reinforcing its dedication to improving customer experience and contributing to urban development across Uganda. The unveiling, held during Customer Service Week, highlights MTN’s continued investment in infrastructure, community engagement, and service excellence.
The Arua roundabout, now brightly decorated in MTN’s signature yellow, stands as a symbol of partnership between MTN Uganda and Arua City authorities in enhancing public spaces. Speaking at the launch, Joseph Bogera, General Manager Sales and Distribution at MTN Uganda, described the project as a testament to collaboration and progress. “This roundabout is not just a landmark; it is a statement of partnership, commitment, and progress,” he said. Bogera also emphasized that the reopening of the modernised service centre reaffirms MTN’s pledge to deliver stronger networks, improved services, and memorable customer experiences.
The event was graced by city officials, MTN customers, and members of the community. Arua City leaders commended MTN for its partnership and investment. Job Richard Matua, Assistant RCC of Arua City, noted that the rebranded roundabout enhances the city’s image and demonstrates the positive results of cooperation in promoting development and civic pride.
To celebrate the occasion, MTN Uganda organised a free entertainment concert at the OPM grounds in Arua City, featuring local artists Monopoly Bad Character and Jim Kennedy, alongside national stars Cindy, Coco Finger, Chandiru, and Clever J. The event was hosted by popular MCs Man Pato and Zig Zagga, with attendees enjoying exclusive offers such as 10% cashback on beer purchases via USSD and 35% cashback on purchases made through MTN MoMo.
The Arua launch follows the recent unveiling of an MTN-branded roundabout in Jinja City, part of MTN’s wider initiative to collaborate with local governments in beautifying urban spaces and fostering community pride. Through such projects and its Ambition 2025 strategy, MTN Uganda continues to strengthen its commitment to better service delivery, digital inclusion, and enhanced customer experiences—solidifying its role as a leader in digital innovation for Africa’s growth.
