Ugandan singer Patrick Mulwana, popularly known as Alien Skin, has broken his silence following allegations linking him to the death of one of his dancers. The singer strongly denied any involvement and clarified the purpose of his music camp, Fangone Forest.
In a recently circulated audio message, Alien Skin emphasized that Fangone Forest is a music initiative designed to help young people develop their talent and escape poverty. He stressed that the camp is not a criminal gang, as some have alleged. “I am not involved in any gang wars. My group is my band—Fangone Forest is a crew of musicians, not a gang of criminals,” he said.
Alien Skin explained that, as a public figure, he has people around him for protection, but this should not be misinterpreted as involvement in illegal activities. He maintained that the camp has consistently provided positive opportunities for youths, helping them stay away from crime.
Throughout his career, Alien Skin pointed out, he has never had a criminal record. Yet, he said, false accusations continue to be used by his enemies to damage his reputation and attempt to dismantle his music camp. “Those who fight against the group are the same enemies who want to end me. They have resorted to accusing individuals in the camp to break us apart,” he said.
The singer expressed frustration at public and media misperceptions, arguing that many fail to recognize the positive role Fangone Forest has played in nurturing young musicians in Uganda. He called on the public to understand that the initiative is about music, mentorship, and protection—not crime.
As investigations into the dancer’s death continue, Alien Skin remains resolute in defending both his name and the integrity of Fangone Forest, urging people to separate misinformation from the reality of his work.
